I heard about this story and I was so incredibly moved by this sweet little boy's life. It reminds me how very precious each day is with the ones we love...

A Blissful Blizzard?

Do you know what I mean? Have you experienced the power of a blizzard blowing fiercly outside? The snow being thrust horizontially against the windows of your shelter- pelting, driving, determined in its attempt to gain entry. The cold outside is blustery, chilling, un-livable. Yet inside you are warm and cozy listening to the rush of noise outside humming like a sweet lullaby.

Never have I felt so protected, cherished, and loved by the Lord than when I have been held up inside an enclosure awaiting the ravages of a blizzard to pass by. I have experienced many blizzards in my life- some physically, some figuratively. I have always been protected by a sanctuary- sheltered and loved. The spirit of Christ has always been my shield...
